rcping
This is a command to allow anyone to ping a role without having to set the "allow everyone to mention this role" setting. This way, you can have some role or channel requirements. This was made for SIFcord, so it mentions "RC", but you can change the script to fit your server. The main requirement is setting up a feed which actually pings the role using !feed create. This is needed, because a regular tag reply copies the invocation user's permissions, so the ping won't work. So instead, this tag overrides permissions and calls the !announce command to do so. So, after setting up the feed, what you need to replace is: The error message, channel ID and required role ID for the {require}, and the feed name in the {cmd:announce}. Remember to enable the get subcommand in the tags command, and remember any permissions for tags also apply here (that's why the error message here also requires the "Member" role - on our server, the tags command requires that one as well).
