{=(comment): DICE................................}
{=(help):## Server dice commands
You can roll with Bogsy's Dice Bot in these formats:
- .1d20+3
- **`@Bogsy's Dice Bot`** 1d20+3
- /roll 1d20+3
The dice bot has several other functions you're free to experiment with if you'd like! Its docs/wiki can be found [on github](<https://github.com/ProfSamScott/bogsys-dice-bot/wiki/Bogsy's-Dice-Bot:-Basics>).
You can find optional rulesets with `?t dice rules` or make/find your own!}
{=(rules):## Rolling Rulesets
`?t dice rolling`
`?t dice stats`
`?t dice pvp`
`?t dice healing`
Using dice and rpg mechanics is completely optional, as is using these specific rulesets! Play fair and do what's most comfortable for you.
★ **Please keep your rp partners in the loop!** Don't surprise people with dice rolls without explaining what you're doing first.
★ **These systems will NOT be enforced.** It's up to you to play fairly and honestly. Changing and bending these systems is fine as long as you're not using them to run overpowered characters, auto-hit, etc.
If someone is disrupting rp with rpg mechanics, please ask to pause and talk it out and/or let a helper know!!}
{=(rolling):## Optional rolling systems
### 🐉 Dungeons & Dragons
- When __applying a skill in a way that you might fail__, roll 1d20. On a 1-12, you fail; on a 13-20+, you succeed.
- When using a __combat maneuver__ on a creature or object, roll 1d20. On a 12 or less, you miss or are deflected; on a 13 or more, you hit your mark. If you roll a 1 or 20 on the die, something unexpected happens.
- You can roll __twice per round__, but only one of those rolls can be used for combat maneuvers.
### 🛡 Dungeon World
- When you __take a risk to accomplish something__, roll 2d6. On a 10+ you succeed without consequence. On a 7-9 you falter and must choose between a worse outcome, a hard bargain, or an ugly choice. On an 8 or lower you fail.
- When you __move to harm someone__, roll 2d6. On a 10+ you hit and leave no openings, but can open yourself to a counterattack to double your damage. On a 7-9 you hit, but must choose between opening yourself to a counterattack or skipping your next combat roll.
- When you __closely study an object, animal, or place__, roll 2d6. On a 10+ you or another player can reveal three truths about the subject. On a 7-9, reveal only one. You take +1 on any roll in the thread that uses this new knowledge.
★ **These sets are based on full TTRPGs**; please check them out if you like what you see here!}
{=(stats):## Stat systems
### 🔢 Core Six
- Between the six abilities of __power, reflexes, endurance, memory, intuition, and compassion__, assign levels of talent/skill according to your character's age:
- *Child:* -2, -1, -1, 0, +1, +1
- *Adolescent:* -1, 0, 0, +1, +1, +2
- *Adult:* 0, +1, +1, +2, +2, +3
- *Senior:* +1, +2, +2, +3, +4, +5
- Mark 1 EXP each time your character reaches one of these milestones:
- Learn something new about yourself, someone else, or the world around you
- Reveal or teach someone else something new about yourself, someone else, or the world around you
- Establish or accomplish a goal that's important to you, or help another accomplish theirs
- Let go of something important to you, or help another let go of theirs
- Live through a monthly rollover
- Make it to a new year
- Attend or host a public social event
- Establish or end an emotional connection with another character
- When you reach 5 EXP, reset your EXP to 0 and add 1 to one of your modifiers. You will need 5 more EXP (10 total) for your next stat increase.
- Your EXP milestones will increase in increments of 5, to a max of 20. Your stat mods cap out at +5 per stat.
### ✨️ Specialties
- Choose three specific actions (clawing noses, hiding in grass, medicating fevers, etc) that your character specializes in, plus one for every life stage your character has reached (child, adolsecent, adult, senior).
- After each monthly rollover, festival, and major plot, if you roleplayed, add a new specialty.
- You can roll a specialized skill with *advantage* (roll twice and take the best result) one time per specialty per thread OR give your advantage to someone else by directly coaching them.
★ **Simplified HP is recommended!** Instead of doing double or triple digits, consider a total of 5 or 6, in which a hit always deals 1 damage.
★ **There are no encumberance rules**; as long as it makes physical sense, use any system you like.}
{=(pvp):## Player-vs-player systems
### ⚔️ Dueling
- Players establish HP totals and attack damage values for their respective characters for a head-on conflict
- Characters take turns attacking one another until one surrenders or is no longer able to fight, OR until the fight is interrupted or called off
- (Optional): Characters may use non-combat skills to manipulate the environment, securing advantage (roll twice and take the better result) for themselves or imposing disadvantage (roll twice and take the worse result) on their opponent
### 🏁 Rolling race
- Players agree on a difficulty level for their characters' respective goals and assign a number of hits or HP to each goal based on that difficulty (ex. easy = 3HP, hard=5HP, extreme=8HP)
- Characters roll skill checks etc toward their respective goals, which may or may not involve attacking one another
- The first to accomplish their goal wins
- (Optional): A character may skip a roll to sabotage when an opponent next rolls, healing their rival's target by 1 or 2 HP
- (Optional): A character may skip a roll to blocking a sabotage attempt, if one happens before their next turn
★ **PvP systems can be used on player characters, NPCs, or the environment!** Time/turn limits, NPC rolls, and backlash for failed rolls can all be effective ways to capture the tension of a dangerous situation without a GM.}
{=(healing):## Healing systems
### ❤️🩹 One & done
- Healing only requires one scene each for first aid and follow-up, regardless of severity. One success in each stage is all you need, but the threshold for success is much tighter, ex. 17 or higher, meaning multiple attempts will probably be needed.
- Applying herbal medicines like poultices and teas can give advantage on an attempted roll, but using three or more in one sitting will poison the patient, extending their recovery time.
### ⏳️ Intensive care
- Every ailment requires *multiple* successes, with more being needed for more severe problems. Characters must roll that many successes for the patient to be truly on the path to recovery, but attempts can be spread across multiple threads.
- Severe conditions can only be half treated by first aid.
- Patients start full treatment with an amount of HP. If they already have an HP total, reduce it by half until they've recovered.
- Rolling two failures in a row in either phase deals 1 HP's worth of damage.
- Patients can regain 1 HP (up to their max for full treatment) each day if they follow their provider's instructions.
- Using herbal medicines can nullify the damaging effect of a double fail or turn a failure into a success, but using three or more in one sitting will poison the patient, preventing HP gain for two days.
- Once full success is achieved, the patient must stay on bedrest/providers' orders until they've gotten back to full HP.
★ **Terms of failure are yours to decide.** Instate a time or rolling limit, weigh up the patient's cooperation, etc! Failure might not mean death, either: Patients could recover with disabilities, trauma, or scars.
★ **Medical scenes are always optional**. If rolling is going too poorly or you just don't like the concept, handwaving things or roleplaying without dice is totally fine.}

You will need 5 more EXP (10 total) for your next stat increase.\n- Your EXP milestones will increase in increments of 5, to a max of 20. Your stat mods cap out at +5 per stat.\n\n### ✨️ Specialties\n- Choose three specific actions (clawing noses, hiding in grass, medicating fevers, etc) that your character specializes in, plus one for every life stage your character has reached (child, adolsecent, adult, senior).\n- After each monthly rollover, festival, and major plot, if you roleplayed, add a new specialty.\n- You can roll a specialized skill with *advantage* (roll twice and take the best result) one time per specialty per thread OR give your advantage to someone else by directly coaching them.\n\n★ **Simplified HP is recommended!** Instead of doing double or triple digits, consider a total of 5 or 6, in which a hit always deals 1 damage.\n\n★ **There are no encumberance rules**; as long as it makes physical sense, use any system you like.}\n\n{=(pvp):## Player-vs-player systems\n### ⚔️ Dueling\n- Players establish HP totals and attack damage values for their respective characters for a head-on conflict\n- Characters take turns attacking one another until one surrenders or is no longer able to fight, OR until the fight is interrupted or called off\n- (Optional): Characters may use non-combat skills to manipulate the environment, securing advantage (roll twice and take the better result) for themselves or imposing disadvantage (roll twice and take the worse result) on their opponent\n\n### 🏁 Rolling race\n- Players agree on a difficulty level for their characters' respective goals and assign a number of hits or HP to each goal based on that difficulty (ex. easy = 3HP, hard=5HP, extreme=8HP)\n- Characters roll skill checks etc toward their respective goals, which may or may not involve attacking one another\n- The first to accomplish their goal wins\n- (Optional): A character may skip a roll to sabotage when an opponent next rolls, healing their rival's target by 1 or 2 HP\n- (Optional): A character may skip a roll to blocking a sabotage attempt, if one happens before their next turn\n\n★ **PvP systems can be used on player characters, NPCs, or the environment!** Time/turn limits, NPC rolls, and backlash for failed rolls can all be effective ways to capture the tension of a dangerous situation without a GM.}\n\n{=(healing):## Healing systems\n### ❤️🩹 One & done\n- Healing only requires one scene each for first aid and follow-up, regardless of severity. One success in each stage is all you need, but the threshold for success is much tighter, ex. 17 or higher, meaning multiple attempts will probably be needed.\n- Applying herbal medicines like poultices and teas can give advantage on an attempted roll, but using three or more in one sitting will poison the patient, extending their recovery time.\n\n### ⏳️ Intensive care\n- Every ailment requires *multiple* successes, with more being needed for more severe problems. Characters must roll that many successes for the patient to be truly on the path to recovery, but attempts can be spread across multiple threads.\n- Severe conditions can only be half treated by first aid. \n- Patients start full treatment with an amount of HP. If they already have an HP total, reduce it by half until they've recovered.\n- Rolling two failures in a row in either phase deals 1 HP's worth of damage.\n- Patients can regain 1 HP (up to their max for full treatment) each day if they follow their provider's instructions.\n- Using herbal medicines can nullify the damaging effect of a double fail or turn a failure into a success, but using three or more in one sitting will poison the patient, preventing HP gain for two days.\n- Once full success is achieved, the patient must stay on bedrest/providers' orders until they've gotten back to full HP.\n\n★ **Terms of failure are yours to decide.** Instate a time or rolling limit, weigh up the patient's cooperation, etc! Failure might not mean death, either: Patients could recover with disabilities, trauma, or scars.\n\n★ **Medical scenes are always optional**. If rolling is going too poorly or you just don't like the concept, handwaving things or roleplaying without dice is totally fine.}\n\n{=(dice):{any({args(2)}==rolling|{args(2)}==stats|{args(2)}==pvp|{args(2)}==rules|{args(2)}==healing):{{args(2)}}|{help}}}\n\n{=(comment): RANDOMIZERS...............}\n\n{=(list):## List of
