**V5 Beta Installation Guidelines:**
- No other mod files are needed for DaC V5: It is standalone.
1) Delete the V4.5 (Or Older) Divide and Conquer folder found here:
[your path]\Medieval II Total War\mods
2) Download the V5 Open Beta from Google Drive
3) Unzip the file to any location. - Keep the contents of the zip file in the same location after unzipping (there are 5 files inside).
4) Run the executable.
5) If you have not moved your steam directory from the C drive then click next otherwise go to 5.1.
5.1) If your steam directory does not use the default location then you need to manually locate your steam games install location and click on the 'common' folder
6) You must run Large Address Aware on the Medieval2.exe when prompted. Follow the instructions that appear on screen. - If you do not have a 64 bit windows OR you have less than 4gb of RAM, do not do this step!
7) You may need to delete your Virtual Store entry for Medieval 2. There are links to guides showing what to do on Mod DB.
8) Apply the hotfix. Download and install after V5 and merge into your base Medieval II Total War Folder- it should replace files. You'll need to run Full Cleaner.bat in the Divide_and_Conquer folder and start a new game for the changes to take effect.

**Note:** If your Anti-Virus or Windows Defender flags the installer, this is a false positive. You'll need to add an exclusion.
