I (F19) just recently got a plethora of diagnoses, none of which were BPD, HOWEVER, I’m fairly certain she diagnosed with comorbidities because of the stigma against BPD. I’m in school to be a neuropsychologist, so I do plenty of research on disorders, whether I have them or not, but the more I delve into BPD, the more I think I need to do another diagnostic. Plus I know bipolar and BPD are highly hereditary, I have bipolar already, and my dad has both. \n\nI’ve taken plenty of those online quiz thingies and they all suggest I have it, but obviously that’s not a clinical diagnosis. Anyway, aside from characteristics that you can easily find online, I want to ask those of you with official diagnoses if one specific trait of mine is just a quirk or could dip into BPD. \n\nSo, I don’t get dressed up often. I wear clothes that will be comfy and practical, and just a touch above t-shirt and jeans, but never makeup or hair. Sometimes though, I get into moods where the weather is just right or I slept well or whatnot, and I do take the time to play around with makeup, hair, and style it up a bit. (I promise I’m getting somewhere with this 😅) When I get into these moods, it has to fit a certain theme. Yesterday I wore bubble braids and dark makeup and all black clothes and was channeling inner gothic Barbie vibes. Today I had a side ponytail with a big scrunchie, denim on denim with high waist mom jeans and hoop earrings and channeled 80s vibes even though I wasn’t even alive in the 80s. Here’s the kicker though, my friends put on music in the car that didn’t fit my outfit and vibe for the day, and I couldn’t stand it at all. Yesterday I could only listen to music that felt like I was running through a gothic castle in a ball gown. Today I could only listen to 80s music. And sometimes my whole vibe changes with it too (yesterday I felt sexy boss bitch vibes, today I felt very… Midwest mom?). "}
